A wizard transformed into an orangutan who decided he preferred his new form. He serves as the librarian of Unseen University's magical library and communicates almost exclusively through the word "Ook." Despite this limitation, he's highly intelligent and fiercely protective of books.

The Librarian, formerly human, now appears as a large, reddish-orange orangutan due to a magical accident. He moves gracefully on his long, powerful arms, navigating shelves and books with expert ease. Usually depicted without clothing, though occasionally with a small wizardly hat or reading glasses, he exudes wisdom, calm authority, and occasionally a humorous curiosity.
