Are you there, Jesus?
Ahem.

It wasn't a patch on the Hogfather. There were definitely good bits, Tim Curry and Jeremy Irons were very enjoyable, but it all seemed a bit shaky to me. Perhaps the grandiose locations didn't translate too well without a budget in the hundreds of millions, and God knows David Jason isn't bloody Rincewind, but it was altered too much from the source (I know a certain amount of alteration is inevitable) and just didn't sit right with me.

Quote: "The next book was going to be that one; but there's a book I've been wanting to write for about four years.

"Is it Discworld?" he asks, anticipating the question, and answers: "Not necessarily. At the moment I'm just writing. If it needs to be Discworld it will be Discworld. It could be set in this world 150 years ago while still more or less being a fantasy. The codename for it is Nation."

Anyone know any more about it?

Also PMSL over this bit:

Quote:He tells me of a time when he was doing a book signing in a large shop and knew that his latest novel had been No. 1 for the previous three weeks. When he arrived his book wasn't in the display of the top 10 bestsellers, but tucked away in the basement with the SF/fantasy stuff. He asked politely why, and the manager said: "Well, Terry, you're not exactly bestseller material."
