The Colour of Magic Website

In swift succession to our previous news post on a similar theme, it appears that Sky One have created a website for The Colour of Magic.

It's looking rather nice and features what will hopefully be an oft-updated blog and photo gallery, as well as some other neat items including an updated cast list and some nice facts about Terry and Discworld.

RE: TCOM Website

Not that there's any competitions going on, but which website do we think has "got" Discworld? Moist Makes Money or the abovementioned website for The Colour of Magic? Wink

On a slightly more related note, Stephen Marcus as Broadman? I knew vaguely what I imagined him to look like in my head, but another great piece of casting in my opinion.

Also, clicking on a cast member will bring up more details - read through Sean Astin's and you'll be amazed to see he starred in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings. Hmmm, could've sworn it was JRR Tolkien's, but never mind eh? Tongue

I now want to take a pic of myself on the porcelain throne, reading MM and shitting twenty-pound notes. Back to the laughing academy for me!

For God's sake Pete, it's not like the films were based on Tolkien's books or anything. Just leave it alone!

I know, I know, I want to leave it alone, but I can't. Fact of (male) life.

Well, Hogfather was a success as far as I can tell. TCOM will probably go the same way. What next I wonder? I'll brick it if they ever get a feature film going.

Well I can only assume that after TCOM they'll launch into The Light Fantastic, though I'm sure I read somewhere that this one might well just combine the two.

If only I could remember such useful tidbits.

I'm still holding out for Moving Pictures as the first big-screen outing. You know it makes sense. Any day of the week. Yeah. YEAH!

RE: The Colour of Magic Website

from what i have seen on the Sky website the colour of magic and the light fantastic are going to rolled into one, i hope that there is not too much cut out, but understand that the limitations of the screen will come into play in the same way that they did in Hogfather (which i have to say i enjoyed).

my main worry is thaat David Jason is playing Rincewind, he is an excellent actor but i am niot convinced that i can see him as Rincewind, i would have thought a taller and younger actor would have fitted the bill, maybe Nigel Planer, Neil Morrisey, Simon Pegg?

anyway i look forward to seeinfg the new film

Simon Pegg?

Do you know, I've never thought of him as Rincewind, but now that you mention it, that's a cracking idea.

And the wizzard does a lot of running. Jason's a bit old now, we need a younger actor, like Simon Pegg!

RE: The Colour of Magic Website

If the Luggage was a human and Rincewind was played by Simon Pegg, then the Luggage would have to be played by Nick Frost.

Alas, since the Luggage is not a human, this happy pairing can never be Sad
